With Maggie’s Commercial Degree from Belmont University, she has become a force to be reckoned with, combining all three aspects of the music industry. In terms of performance, Maggie trained under Sandra Dudley, Piper Jones, and Chelsea Ritenour. Through her training, she was able to get into the gospel and R&B ensemble Voxology, run by Brian Seay. Where she had the opportunity to open for Tori Kelly. Additionally, through her independent artistry, Maggie has done various gigs around the Pittsburgh and Nashville area.

On the business side, Maggie Knight runs every musical endeavor as a personal business. She makes sure all her bases are covered to protect herself and her clients. She is a registered ASCAP writer and publisher. Along with that, she is also registered with MLC, the Office of Copyright, and SoundExchange. This ensures that if a project is not 100% work for hire, proper royalty splits can be made.

Last but not least, most of her resume is in production. She has worked as an AV tech at Seton Hill University, an operations and stagehand for Belmont, and currently works as a stagehand for RockForce. Notable jobs from RockForce include FOH for Chris Stapleton, wardrobe and lighting for Usher and Chris Brown, and on-stage audio for Thomas Rhett. Other renowned artists she has worked for at RockForce include Charli XCX, Post Malone, Noah Kahan, and Bruno Mars.

Through her stagehand work, she earned an internship as an Audio Engineer at Nashvox Studios, off Broadway. There, she has made leaps and bounds, starting part-time as an audio engineer and using the connection to become a session musician and commission-based songwriter.

Though she recently became a commission-based songwriter at Nashvox, Maggie had already made her way through the industry as a credible songwriter. She studied theory, composition, and aural skills with David M. McKay, and her performance during their time together led to his letter of recommendation. Additionally, at the beginning of 2026, Maggie was chosen as one of the finalists in the Amplify songwriting competition based out of LA. After that, Marco Marinangeli, who has produced multiple Disney projects, Miley Cyrus, Josh Groban, and Andrea Bocelli, contacted her. Since then, he has offered to mentor Maggie, and she is proud to say she has collaborated with him.
